The Federation for Adapted Physical Activity Bulgaria organized a specialized training program for volunteers as part of the preparations for the upcoming 2026 World Championships.
The training brought together volunteers from the National High School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences “Acad. Lyubomir Chakalov” and Maria’s World, who will play an important role in supporting the organization and delivery of the event.
Participants completed a series of practical and organizational modules focused on working with international delegations, supporting athletes, event coordination, and responding to emergency situations.
A special part of the program was delivered by Search and Rescue Bulgaria, providing volunteers with essential knowledge on safety procedures, incident response, and crisis management.
The Federation for Adapted Physical Activity Bulgaria extends its sincere gratitude to the Sofia Municipality and Serdika District for their support and commitment to the preparation of this major international sporting event.
We also thank all the young people who chose to become part of this inspiring initiative and support the athletes with their time, energy, and dedication.
From 13 to 19 June 2026, Bulgaria will welcome hundreds of athletes, coaches, and official delegations from dozens of countries. The event will celebrate sport, friendship, equal opportunities, and the power of the human spirit.
